About
I was a teacher for 38 years, centred on Guidance, and becoming a Depute for the last 16 years.. Now I work voluntarily for Hibernian FC, as Education and Welfare officer. For nearly 20 years I was a monthly columnist with the Times Education Supplement Scotland and I have contributed to other magazines and journals.I also blogged for The Herald and for Cricket Scotland. I am a past winner of the Irish Post Listowel Short Story Writing Award and enjoy writing in many genres. Blogging seemed the most obvious way to continue this interest and the acronym FEAST, as detailed below, outlines my areas of focus. Let’s hope it’s a feast and not a famine!

Sean,,
I liked your stuff about just being down the road from the Beatles … wasn’t sure about how to Comment!
I first saw a Beatles film in a cinema shaped like a Viking ship (Hard Days Night)on the west coast of Scotland, and I saw Let it Be in a cinema in Germany on the way home from Cyprus – my dad tells me the cinema had porn on one side, Beatles the other! I would be about 13/14 for the first film and nearly 17 for the last … I left the UK thinking that people like you were lucky and returned to the UK with a poor idea about what went on on top of buildings! I’ve never realy recovered. Still love the beatles etc … keep Blogging.

Thanks for that Otis. Glad you liked it.
Hi Sean
Well done again on your fab piece and beautiful Kilkee photos.
I am compiling a number of “packages” to send to TDs, Ministers and MEPs about the destruction of the cliff walk and would love to include your piece and the photos.
I’m not that handy at copying/downloading, so I wonder could you send me a hard copy of your piece by snail mail as I would love to include it?
Many thanks
Mairead Mason
